Strategic direction 2009/2012

The five strategic directions for 2009 – 2012 were:

1.  Housing – This covers the use of Lions Hostel encouraging the development of an assisted living project in the community, and affordable housing.

2.  Lot Redevelopment – This significant project is already started, with completion expected in 2011.

3.  Bypass Heavy Haul Truck Route – Obtaining the required support and partners.

4.  Industrial and Commercial Development – Business is the driving force of any

community. Development is expected to escalate as a result of oil and gas growth.

5.  Annexation – Preeceville’s growth requires a further annexation of land. A proper study will be done to ensure the result will meet the community’s needs for the next number of years. Cemetery and Sports Grounds.
