- May 20th - "Snakes of Saskatchewan" presented by Ray Poulin, Wednesday, May 20, 7:00 pm at Club 60. Everyone welcome. Check out Snakes of Saskatchewan by Ray Poulin

Poulin loves having a snake around to show the public. “I can talk and sing and dance and it’s entertaining,” he said, “but as soon as you bring out a live animal, it’s extremely effective in reaching people.” Even a “non-charismatic” creature like the snake can charm most people, Poulin said.

This week we focus on:  Kelsey Ecological Society
The Kelsey Ecological Society is named for Henry Kelsey,

He was the first European to see the Canadian Prairies. Until the 1926 discovery of the
Kelsey papers in an Irish castle the location of Kelsey’s route was only conjecture. The
papers provide historians the opportunity to re-write history and to assert that Henry Kelsey was here.

The Kelsey Ecological Society was formed by a group of nature enthusiasts in April 1997, as a Chapter of Nature Saskatchewan. Their primary purposes are to bring together those who are interested in the Natural World, and to promote Education, Observation, and Sharing of Nature’s Phenomena in our area.

The Kelsey Ecological Society sponsors guest speakers and field tours throughout the year, and meets on the third Wednesday of each month (except December and January) at 7:00 PM.

- Kelsey Ecological Society presents "Snowdrift River" slide show presented by Kathleen and Michael Pitt on Sunday, March 22, 2:00 pm at Club 60. Everyone welcome.

Welcome to the Town of Preeceville 2015

Welcome to the Town of Preeceville. We are a community of just over 1000 people in a Province of just over 1 million. The same serene atmosphere and general warmth that makes newcomers want to stay and past residents want to return to Saskatchewan is more than true here in Preeceville.  Our flag is 50 this year and with Canada turning 150 years old in 2017 we are planning some Canada Day events this summer. Celebrating how proud we are as Canadians is very important to who we are as a community. Preeceville will remain a small but progressive community with a strong volunteer base, generous friendly people and a strong business and service core. Our strength as a community is how we provide for our seniors and how we teach our youth. This, balanced with quality of life for the rest of our population, is what Preeceville and area is all about. We are proud to be a community in Saskatchewan.

Mayor Garth Harris
