This week we focus on: Species at Risk in Saskatchewan
"Nature Saskatchewan has been dedicated to the conservation of Saskatchewan's natural environment since 1949. We promote appreciation and understanding of our natural world through conservation, education and research. Speaking for the protection and preservation of natural eco-systems and their biodiversity through research and viable conservation practices is our main focus. We strive to connect nature and culture through outreach programs and services. With over 800 members Nature Saskatchewan provides programs and services that provide knowledge and experiences for those who have a love for nature"
Vision: Humanity in Harmony with Nature.
Mission: We engage and inspire people to appreciate, learn about and protect Saskatchewan's natural environment.
The Kelsey Ecological Society was formed by a group of nature enthusiasts in April 1997, as a Chapter of Nature Saskatchewan. Our primary purposes are to bring together those who are interested in the Natural World, and to promote Education, Observation, and Sharing of Nature’s Phenomena in our area.
The Kelsey Ecological Society sponsors guest speakers and field tours throughout the year, and meets on the third Wednesday of each month (except December and January) at 7:00 PM. http://www.naturesask.ca/who-we-are/staff October 25th, Kelsey Ecological Society presents "Species at Risk in Saskatchewan" - presented by Jordan Ignatiuk starts at 2:00 pm, Club 60.
