 All included in our July/August newsletter about to hit the mail boxes this week. Newsletter has info on the town's celebration of Canada's 150th birthday to be held August 4th to 6th.

 Annie Laurie Lake driving range is again open, bucket of balls can be picked up at Mid-Town for only $5

The 7th Annual Motorcycle and Vehicle Road Rally is also on the August 4th to 6th weekend.

- Yards will be judged for curb appeal during the first two weeks of July. It will be a People's Choice and there will be ballot boxes at Home Hardware, Shop Easy and the Town Office. A voucher will be presented to the winners.

- Old Home Week is a practice that originated in the New England region of the United States, similar to a holiday or festival. In its beginning, in the 19th - 20th century, it involved a municipal effort to invite former residents of a village, town, or city - usually individuals who grew up in the municipality as children and moved elsewhere in adulthood - to visit the Old Home, the parental household and home town.

Our idea is to have events around one week each summer so our former residents and guests can be as busy as they please while checking out what's new in town.
