This week we focus on: Two new physicians arriving in Preeceville

"In October, two new physicians are scheduled to arrive and receive orientation to Sunrise Health Region. The health region recruited the physicians to fill vacancies in Preeceville and area. Dr. Catharina Meyer will arrive in the region and begin a week of orientation on October 3, 2016. Another physician is expected to begin a week of orientation on October 11, 2016, pending successful completion of the Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment (SIPPA).

After orientation, the physicians will join Dr. Morteza Shahrestani and Nurse Practitioner Dawn
Kennedy in accepting appointments at the Preeceville Health Care Centre. Ahead of the physicians’ arrival, the clinic continues to be fully operational with appointments available, by calling 306-547-3098.

Consultations to develop a plan for emergency services will occur with the new physicians after
they have completed their orientation"

Preeceville Town Council will continue to work with everyone to welcome our new Doctors to the Preeceville team.

Our next step will be to a few minor renovations we can make the Preeceville clinic very accommodating for 4 providers and our clinic staff.
The Preeceville clinic was originally set up to run out of the hospital and provide space for 2 providers. Our Nurse Practitioner was located in a space in close proximity but was not part of the clinic.  The new clinic and triage rooms will require computers for clinicians to access the Electronic Medical records. Also a phone system upgrade with new phones is necessary for added capacity with more providers and staff.

So Welcome Doctors and thanks to everyone for helping out.
