This week we focus on: Recycling   Recycling Bins Please be reminded that distributed within our town are a number of blue recycling bins. These bins are located at the following locations: Preeceville Hospital,  Veterinary Clinic, Chris’s Place, X-Cessories by Kerry Paul’s Drugs,  Lot Shop Easy, Preeceville Personal Care Home, Arena Golden West Hotel,   Liquor Store, Preece Place,   Behind Admin Building Formo Motors,   Hort’s Auto body, John Deere,   Midtown Service Co-op,   Paul’s Drug Store, Mackenzie Society,   Preeceville School S-Elect Energy,   Assiniboine Manor and Rocky Mountain Equipment "Either Cardboard or newspaper may be deposited in any container. Cardboard includes flattened cardboard boxes and boxboard material (ex. Kleenex or cereal boxes). Remove all inserts, Styrofoam, plastic or packing materials. Please be sure to flatten boxes. Newspaper includes any newsprint material, inserts and flyers with Newspapers, magazines, catalogues and telephone books including Glossy magazines; paper including bond, typing, photocopy, white and coloured ledger and computer paper, shredded paper, envelopes (plain only, no windowed). The bins now accept all grades of plastic (Grades 1-7) Washed and rinsed, plastic food jars, tubs and lids, such as margarine, yogurt, ice cream, cottage cheese, sour cream, plastic bottles and jugs with lids securely attached, Shampoo and bubble bath containers, detergent and other laundry bottles. Place these in a clear plastic bag. Also accepted clear film plastic, shrink wrap, garment bags, grade D film, Water softener bags, empty cat litter bags and grocery bags (grocery bags should be separated by placing them together in large quantities in separate bags. All containers must be free of food contaminates and liquids as well as all metal must be removed"   "Please do not include: Plastic Toys, Lawn Furniture/Furniture/Mattresses, Vinyl Siding/Home Reno Materials, Calking Tubes, Motor Oil Jugs, Hazardous or Medical Waste, Plant Trays, Flower Pots, CD and DVD cases, Packing peanuts or Styrofoam, Car parts, Food, Clothing, Electronics, Metals of any kind (tin cans) or Glass of any kind. Everyone welcome. All you have to bring are clean runners.

- March 17th - The Whitehawk Arts Council presents Wheatland Band - Sturgis Community Hall. These three prairie boys with tender hearts, a zest for life and a love of vocal harmonies will put on a show you can’t miss. You can check out their website at www.wheatlandband.com

- March 18th - The Preeceville Figure Skating Club will be hosting its annual Carnival at the Preeceville Arena. The theme this year is "Welcome to the jungle". Admission is $5 which includes free dessert and beverage. Everyone is welcome.

- April 2th - The Preeceville Wildlife Federation Annual Awards Night and Banquet will be held  at the Preeceville Community Legion Hall. Tickets are available at Midtown Service or by calling Owen Myhr at 306-547-7506 or Heather Gawrelitza at 306-547-2910.

- April 9th, Dance at the Hazel Dell Hall, music by the Zayshleys

- April 12th - Preeceville Volunteer Appreciation Tea and Awards - 2:00 pm Club 60

- April 15th and 16th - Preeceville Spring Expo Tradeshow - 11:00am - Preeceville Skating Arena

- May 28th - Town of Preeceville Community Wide Garage Sale beginning at 8:00 am. To register your sale, contact the Preeceville Town Office at 306-547-2810 by May 24.
