This week we focus on: SUMA has a New Mobile-Friendly Website

SUMA Mission Statement
So this SUMA site is a great tool for your local governments to use, and also a great starting point for anyone wanting to run for counicl this fall. "The Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) is the provincial voice of urban municipal governments representing cities, towns and villages. Through strength in unity, SUMA advocates, negotiates and initiates improvements in local, provincial and federal legislation, and delivers programs and services to members to enhance the quality of life in Saskatchewan" So under the Resources tab at the top, pick the Presentations tab which will take you to the last four SUMA Conventions page. Most of the eduction sessions are on youtube and follow the power point presentations. Session Description: Are employment contracts really necessary? Can a mayor set work hours and wages for municipal employees? This session will break down the individual roles and responsibilities of councils and CAOs as employers, noting potential landmines and emphasizing effective management strategies.

- April 12th - Preeceville Volunteer Appreciation Tea and Awards - 2:00 pm Club 60
- April 15th and 16th - Preeceville Spring Expo Tradeshow - 11:00am - Preeceville Skating Arena
