This week we focus on: Preeceville Wildlife Federation

Will be holding a evening of entertainment this Saturday April 7th at the Community Legion Hall in Preeceville. The evening will consist of wild meat supper, trophy and awards program followed by a dance. It's a family event which includes games for kids, and is the groups main fundraiser for the year.
So with the contributions people make to support the Federation they sponsor the Fish in Schools Program at the Preeceville School. When they hatch they are monitored by the school children as they grow in various stages. Then the kids enjoy the Fish release party at Lady Lake in June. The club supports the Sturgis Gun Range and the Sturgis Archery Club Shoot. They have run for many years the Firearm Safety Program to help the younger generations get involved in safe gun handling practices.
The group also operates the Preeceville Wildlife Campgrounds and have been doing a number of maintenance projects over the past year for guests to enjoy.
Big support is given to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation Habitat Trust Fund each year. Last year the group also felt it was important to help the Wild Fire Relief Fund in South West Saskatchewan after the devastating fires down there. They send two students to Wildlife Camp and many more activities through out the year.
The group is always interested in new projects and/or ideas and anyone of they board members can be contacted.
