Speaking note for Hospital Auxiliary District Meeting at Club 60 April 20, 2016

 

Welcome to the Town of Preeceville. Our goal is “To provide a welcoming, healthy, and safe community”

Our strength as a community is how we provide for our seniors and how we teach our youth. This, balanced with quality of life for the rest of our population, is what Preeceville and area is all about.

The Preeceville Hospital Auxiliary is one of our foundation groups in Town. The Auxiliary is a volunteer group we are very proud of.

They were one of only four groups receiving the 2012 Centennial Award for the hard work done over the past 100 years. (Lions, Mushers and Wildlife groups being the other three)

We are paying off the hospital loan in June of this year. A big project with many thanks, leading the way always was the Auxiliary.  Planning is under way to mark this event.

We have a 150 birthday in 2017. How should we mark this great event in our towns? 

What would be your project to mark this event and how can I help?

Membership goals for the Auxiliary and its ongoing fund raising, we wish you success. 

We can help by aligning goals of the community as a whole with the Auxiliary.

Long term planning that aligns all our needs.

Ensure our volunteers have what they need to be successful. Do we do enough?

Our flag is 51 this year and with Canada turning 150 years old in 2017 we have started planning how to mark our nation’s birthday. Celebrating how proud we are as Canadians is very important to whom we are as a community. Preeceville will remain a small but progressive community with a strong volunteer base, generous friendly people and a strong business and service core. Our strength as a community is how we provide for our seniors and how we teach our youth. This, balanced with quality of life for the rest of our population, is what Preeceville and area is all about. We are proud to be a community in Saskatchewan”
